Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has shared an update for fans on her father's cancer journey, as he hits an important milestone.

The professional dancer, who reached the Strictly final last year with EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and is now taking part in the Strictly Live Tour, first shared an update on her Dad's cancer battle in November 2023.

She has now offered fans another update on father Mark's treatment, and revealed that he has reached the halfway point in his chemotherapy.

In a video posted to the dancer's Instagram page, Mark can be seen in hospital, directly addressing the camera and thanking fans for their support for Dianne and Bobby in last year's Strictly.

"I'd like to thank all those who voted for Bobby and Dianne," he said.

"Also, I'd like to thank all the people who gave me well wishes to get well and thank you from the bottom of my heart."

The caption for the video read: "Forgot that when I was home, Dad wanted me to film a 'thank you' to all the viewers who supported Bobby and I in the final and throughout the competition – and a big thank you from him for all the well wishes he has received.

"Dad's half way mark for chemo today," she added. "Proud of you Dad."
