Former Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has teased the prospect of appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The YouTuber, who was partnered with AJ Pritchard during the 2019 series of the BBC dance show, revealed to the Daily Star that she would love to appear in the jungle to dispel some misconceptions about her.

"People assume I’m a young, dumb blonde – I get that all the time," she said. "And so I enjoy proving I’m not the sort of person people expect me to be. I would love to do I’m A Celebrity and go outside my comfort zone and challenge myself."

Saffron is currently appearing on Celebrity Hunted alongside mathematician Bobby Seagull, in which contestants travel across the UK with the aim of avoiding capture.

The reality star recently revealed that she risked being caught in order to get her hands on the essentials from her personal life.

"I did actually risk getting caught for a Nando's," she said. "I went many days without and there's not many days I go without Nando's, so I thought, 'Why not?' There's no good excuse I can give, I was just craving it.

"I also risked getting caught for a spray tan one day as well, but some things have got to be done," she added, before praising her partner on the show. "Bobby is a genius but I consider myself quite street smart. I was actually quite surprisingly good. We did very well."

The next series of I’m a Celebrity will be a special all-star version and will take place in South Africa. The cast includes Carol Vorderman, Jordan Banjo, Helen Flanagan and Paul Burrell.

"Now it's something we've always wanted to do and it's I'm a Celeb as you've never seen it before," teased co-host Ant McPartlin. "That's because we've taken some of your favourite faces from the last 20 years and sent them back into camp, only this time that camp is in South Africa."

I'm a Celebrity will return later this year for an All-Stars series on ITV1 and ITVX.
