Strictly Come Dancing winner Bill Bailey has teased cameos from EastEnders and Silent Witness stars in his new reality show Bring the Drama.

Premiering on February 14, the six-part series invites eight participants who've always dreamt of acting to be mentored by professionals across six weeks.

This includes Gangs of London casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry, Silent Witness star Genesis Lynea, You's Ed Speleers and EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy.

Explaining what's to come while on The One Show, host Bailey shared: "They get amazing mentoring and training, and they get to re-enact these classic scenes from TV dramas. So they get to meet the cast, they get the full crew, they get the full experience."

In each episode, the aspiring performers must work under authentic industry constraints on real-life TV sets, with professional scripts and cameras.

As well as the on-camera talent they'll have at their disposal, a fight co-ordinator from Peaky Blinders and an intimacy co-ordinator from Sex Education will also be present.

Bailey said: "I thought [the programme] was a great way to give some aspiring actors an amazing opportunity, and also, it's a brilliant insight into the whole process of acting, filming and casting."

"I think it was real eye-opener for our actors," Bailey continued. "I don't think they were quite prepared for how hard the process is.

"The early starts, the short rehearsal time, the pressure of delivering a performance in front of a full crew was a really steep learning curve. But they responded brilliantly, and I think they all gained a huge amount from the experience."

Bring the Drama premieres Wednesday, February 14 on BBC Two at 9pm.
