Strictly's Giovanni Pernice reunites with former pro after 2024 show exit
Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice has reunited with former pro dancer Kristina Rihanoff, following confirmation of his absence from the competition show’s 2024 series.
Kristina, who was a pro on Strictly between 2008 and 2015, took to Instagram this week to share a sweet photo of herself and her daughter with Giovanni and Strictly judge Anton Du Beke, after attending a live show from the duo’s Together tour.
"Back from an absolute gem of a Theater experience - @giovannipernice & @mrantondubekeshow by @strictlytheatreco Together," she captioned the post.

Kristina continued: "Outstanding production, dancing, singing, humour and banter plus a beautiful voice & performance by @laurenmayoakley!
"If you have a chance to go see it please do! It truly is amazing! Mila and I had a blast."
Earlier this month, Giovanni was confirmed not to be part of Strictly's 2024 series after his name was absent from the professional dancer line-up.
Giovanni's absence coincides with reports of an internal BBC investigation, following complaints about his behaviour during show training. Giovanni has strongly denied allegations of "abusive or threatening behaviour", calling them "false".

Responding to Giovanni’s exit during a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, fellow pro dancer Gorka Márquez said the decision made was "sad for everybody".
"It's like when Aljaž [Škorjanec] leaves or Oti [Mabuse] leaves, or when Anton [Du Beke] decides to go to the judge role," he continued.
"Everyone is a big part of the show. When someone decides to leave or change their careers, it's sad for everybody."
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
