Strictly's Helen Skelton makes kids TV return with Fireman Sam role
Strictly Come Dancing star Helen Skelton is set to make her return to kids TV with a role in Fireman Sam.
The star originally rose to fame as a presenter on Blue Peter, before joining Countryfile in 2014 and appearing on Strictly last year, where she finished as a runner-up.
It has now been confirmed that Skelton has been cast in the role of Farmer Annie Morris, the cousin of Penny, in Fireman Sam's upcoming 15th series.

Viewers will also be introduced to her farm, while other new character additions include boars Luc and Karl, who will teach kids about rewilding, as well as a new seal, beavers, and Penny’s sassy cat, Miss Pawdry.
"All are ready to cause a little bit of chaos and keep the Rescue Team very busy!" the synopsis adds. "The Rescue Team will have a lot of opportunities to use the upgraded Jupiter, our iconic fire truck with its brand-new look and cutting-edge technologies!
"And of course, as there’s always something happening in Pontypandy, there are plenty of adventures to look forward to.

"From investigating mysterious pumpkins, sea monsters, smoking potatoes to the usual wildfires, search & rescue missions and ocean-cave rescues, whatever the emergency, you can be sure that the Rescue Team of Pontypandy will always be there to save the day!"
The 26-episode series, which begins tomorrow (October 21) at 8am on Cartoonito, will also include a Halloween double-episode called ‘The Mystery At Pumpkin Hallow’.
Skelton said of joining the show: “I'm thrilled to be a part of the Fireman Sam family and lend my voice to the spirited character of Farmer Annie Morris. This series is packed with adventures and important life lessons for kids, and I can't wait for everyone to see it.”
Fireman Sam series 15 premieres tomorrow (October 21) at 8am on Cartoonito.
