Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec are set to appear as guests on the new series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World, the BBC has announced.

The couple, who last year welcomed their first child together, will appear as dance coaches for the queens during one week of the series.

They're following in the glittery footsteps of fellow Strictly professionals AJ Pritchard, Giovanni Pernice, Johannes Radebe and Karen Hauer, who have all been coaches on previous editions of the show.

It Takes Two host Janette, who is currently hosting the Strictly live arena tour, said: "Aljaž and I absolutely loved taking part in Drag Race UK vs The World. The queens were so amazing to work with and they worked so, so hard.

"When we saw the final dances come to life, we were so happy for them. We adored being part of the show – we’re big fans of it, and are very grateful that they asked us to be involved!"

The Strictly crossover continues too, as judge Motsi Mabuse will be one of the guest judges on the new series – after her sister Oti Mabuse was a judge on an episode of the UK’s third series in 2021.

Motsi said: "I cannot believe the talent of queens from all ends of the globe, it was such an honour to watch the queens do their thing on the main stage. Joining Mama Ru and the fellow judges was a dream and I didn’t want to wake up!"

The new set of guest judges also includes model Adwoa Aboah, comedian Katherine Ryan, singers Kim Petras and Self Esteem, actor Richard E Grant and Olympic diver Tom Daley.

These announcements come shortly after Jane McDonald and Sinitta were revealed as the celebrity players for the Snatch Game episode in the upcoming series.

This starry line-up will join RuPaul and regular judges Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton as four returning UK queens compete with international contestants in a bid to be crowned Queen Of The World.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World series 2 premieres on February 9 on BBC Three and on iPlayer.
