Strictly Come Dancing's Joe Sugg revealed he had a stressful weekend watching girlfriend Dianne Buswell perform at the show's famous Blackpool Week.

Last weekend saw the BBC dancing competition head to Blackpool's iconic ballroom, with the experience proving to be a tough one for pro dancer Dianne, who became visibly emotional after she and current partner Bobby Brazier fought for survival in the dreaded dance-off.

Documenting the trip on Instagram, 2018 contestant Joe shared snaps of himself and his pro dancer girlfriend in Blackpool, which included a screenshot from a health app revealing he'd been stressed for over six hours on one day.

"Well.. I have no finger nails left. (And 6+ hours of stress apparently)," he wrote adding: "Thanks Blackpool. Very proud.. and relived."

Replying in the comments, Dianne wrote: "Bless you sat in the audience with your hands covering your face," adding a heart emoji.

Dianne and EastEnders actor Bobby received 35 points for their Jive to 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' by Wham!, earning them third place alongside Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe on the leaderboard.

However, Bobby and Dianne found themselves in the bottom two for the first time ever on Sunday's episode, fighting for survival against TV presenter Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington.

Following the dance-off, all four judges voted unanimously to save Bobby and Dianne, with judge Craig Revel Horwood calling their bouncy Jive a "standout performance" as the couple were sent through to next week.

However, the pressure of being in the bottom two appeared to overwhelm Dianne emotionally as she weeped into Bobby's chest while their survival was confirmed.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
