Strictly's Stacey Dooley shares sneak peek at new film

Strictly Come Dancing star Stacey Dooley has offered fans a sneak peek at her new documentary, Stacey Dooley: Inside the Undertakers.

The upcoming film will follow Stacey as she explores death by immersing herself into the world of undertaking in the UK, according to the BBC.

Taking to Instagram, the TV presenter and journalist shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of herself in the film, along with the caption: "Our new film looking at death is finished and will air next month.

"A frank yet sensitive approach, hopefully. A sincere thank you to the families we filmed with. So grateful."

Inside The Undertakers will see Stacey join the team at AW Lymn The Family Funeral Service, a fifth-generation family-run business, and one of the largest independent funeral enterprises in the UK.

She'll take a first-hand look at the company's daily work, which includes arranging funerals, making coffins, embalming, and carving headstones.

Stacey will also follow several funerals from beginning to end, in order to "see how faith, and also secular beliefs, play a part at this extraordinary moment".

"Death is a topic that’s openly discussed in many other cultures, even celebrated in some instances, yet I am so awkwardly British about the whole thing," Stacey previously said in a statement.

"It is, of course, inevitable, and that’s why I wanted to really explore exactly what happens when we do die.

"This access allows us to ponder the bigger questions surrounding life, as well as witness the practical logistics of a funeral.

"I’d like to thank every family member that has allowed us to document their story. I’m so grateful."

Stacey Dooley: Inside the Undertakers will air on BBC One and iPlayer next month.
