Strictly's Zara McDermott reveals bone health condition
Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott has revealed she’s been switching up her diet recently in a bid to combat a health condition she has "early signs" of developing.
The former Love Island contestant opened up to fans about her health concerns during a recent Q & A session on her Instagram.
However, she made it clear she’s taking action at a young age in an attempt to improve her situation.

Zara revealed she’s currently experiencing early signs of osteoporosis, a health condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and easier to break.
When one Instagram user quizzed Zara about her favourite coffee, she explained how her hot drink of choice helps her increase her calcium intake.
“I always have a skinny mocha! I used to be an almond milk gal but I recently found out that I have early signs of developing osteoporosis (my mum and nan both have it!) so I’m making switches to add more calcium into my diet - staring with my coffee.”
“My absolute favourite at the moment is the maple hazel from Costa,” she added. “I’m so obsessed with it.”
Osteoporosis is known to be treated with bone strengthening medicines and by adding calcium to the diet.

Zara’s had a busy year after competing on Strictly Come Dancing alongside her professional partner Graziano Di Prima.
However, sadly she was eventually voted off the dancefloor at the end of October, becoming the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the 2023 line-up.
Since exiting the star-studded BBC dance competition, she’s now cheering on her Made in Chelsea star boyfriend Sam Thompson as he takes part in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
