Ben and Jerry's New Flavor Is A Midwinter's Dream
Ben & Jerry's is kind of like that kid in high school who aced every test. It's obnoxious how right they get everything: social justice campaigns, good-for-you pints, celebrity partnerships. But the fact that the newest flavor is absolutely perfect doesn't bother us one bit. We're perfectly content reaping the benefits.
Starting today, and only for a few months, you can find pints of Gimme S'more in grocery stores. The flavor has all the notes of its eponymous dessert: toasted marshmallow ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls, graham cracker swirls, and fudge flakes. It's the tiny taste of summer we need to get through this, the winter that never ends.
This isn't the first time Ben & Jerry's has attempted the flavor. They launched S'mores - which is still on the line-up - years ago. But it's got a chocolate ice cream base; the marshmallows are worked into the mix, along with graham cracker swirls and fudge chunks. Apparently one toasty pint wasn't enough, though. B&J filed a trademark for Gimme S'mores in the summer of last year. Trust us: You'll be able to devour their months of hard work in mere minutes.
