Watching the royal family gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Colour is always the highlight of the day. And this year's celebration of the Queen's official birthday showed up an unexpected star, in the form of Savannah Phillips.

While Prince George and Princess Charlotte were also on top form at the event, it was Savannah Phillips who appeared to be having the most fun. From watching the RAF's Red Arrow fly-past, to listening to the national anthem, Savannah's reactions to every moment were the literal best.

Savannah, of course, is Princess Anne's granddaughter, and the daughter of Peter Phillips. She's lucky enough to count Queen Elizabeth II as her great-grandmother.

Firstly, she jokingly conducted the orchestra from the balcony, before covering Prince George's mouth to stop him from singing. And, with her hand firmly covering his mouth, she appeared to give an evil smile to the watching cameras, because she knows what's up:

While the Queen didn't seem to be too impressed with her granddaughter's hijinks, Prince George was giggling away:

Savannah also exhibited major excitement for just about every aspect of the fly-past, cheering at the sky at one point:

Who can blame her for being excited though, when she had the most perfect view of this display?

This year's Trooping the Colour also marked Meghan Markle's first appearance at the event. She wore a gorgeous, bespoke, Carolina Herrera dress. The baby pink ensemble, with matching hat, broke royal protocol with its off-the-shoulder style.
