'Suits' Fans Have One Major Question for the Cast After Rewatch Podcast Update
Are we getting the first taste of Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty's upcoming Suits rewatch podcast? Well, sort of.
Back in April, fans of the hit USA Network drama learned two of the show's original characters were planning to take a trip down memory lane in the form of their Sidebar podcast. While Variety teased that Patrick and Sarah's project with SiriusXM was expected to debut sometime this year, it looks like the two actors confirmed the prospective release date with a surprise Instagram video of them pretending to contemplate potential names for the podcast.
"We've got the suits and giggles over here," read the official caption on June 27. "Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast is coming soon."
While fans were thrilled to see Sarah and Patrick share a new update about the Suits podcast, they also had some questions about what's to come. Mainly, commenters wanted to know if there was a confirmed release date for when the first episode will drop on streaming platforms.
"If you can’t tell us the release date, can you at least tell us if it’s gonna be this year? 😭," one person implored in the comments. "CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!! I'm counting the days even without knowing the date yet 😭😭," another exclaimed. "So excited!! Can’t wait to get a release date🥹❤️," a different follower declared.
For the record, the podcast's official Instagram account did respond to that first fan question, saying: "yes, this year!"
While things are being kept under wraps for the moment, Patrick and Sarah have been hard at work to bring the Sidebar podcast to life. Both actors took to Instagram to field questions from fans to ask in future episodes, and they also spoke out at the Suits panel at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas in early June to tease their plans for their new project.
"We're not calling it a 'rewatch podcast,' because we are watching it for the first time together," Patrick told the audience at the time, per Netflix's Tudum. "We are recording a podcast that's documenting that journey. It's going to be coming out really soon."
