“Summer House”'s West Wilson Says Ciara Miller Breakup Is 'My Fault' as She Admits to Still Having Feelings for Him

In part 2 of the season 8 reunion on June 13, the Bravo newcomer apologized for hurting his castmate when they split in December

During part 1 of the Summer House season 8 reunion, Ciara Miller and West Wilson revealed that, while their relationship continued into the fall, they called things quits in December.

When part 2 of the reunion resumed on Thursday, June 13, host Andy Cohen asked West, 28, if he had any regrets about how things played out with Ciara, also 28.

“Ciara might regret like, our relationship and the however-month journey we had but, like, I don’t,” West said.

The sports journalist also took responsibility for how the relationship ended.

“I apologize for, obviously, hurting you and I don’t want you to … you said you ‘got got’ earlier tonight and I don't love hearing that,” West said. “But my feelings were genuine, I think I just expressed myself maybe too late after it was too late to, you know, figure things out. But I'm sorry overall for hurting you and it’s obviously still painful. I mean, it's painful for me too. It's my fault, so…”

While Ciara tried to say “it’s fine,” Andy, 56, thought otherwise and asked the nurse if she still had feelings for West.

“Yeah, of course,” Ciara said.

Andy wondered if Ciara would give West another chance.

“It would have to be a world of change or something like it and I just don't know what people are capable of so... I mean, I’m not holding my breath for anyone,” she said. “I can’t sit here and say that I like don’t still like him.”

That shocked West. “I didn’t expect to hear that, if I’m being honest,” he said.

In the first part of the reunion, West said that he cut things off with Ciara because he felt unsure about how to navigate life in the spotlight while being in a relationship.

“I’ve done a couple watch parties where people f---ing show up and do whatever. That’s pictures and it's, the Bravo fanbase is all women,” he said. “There’s these random things that I’ve never experienced before. Not temptation, just, is that a s---ty look then to go these watch parties with women?”

The Missouri native also didn’t like how he was being perceived online.

"I was starting to get everything that we were tagged in or posted about or whatever was 'Ciara and newbie guy,' whatever,” he said. “And I was like, am I just going to be some f---ing dude who came onto the show and is just Ciara's puppet the whole time?"

His argument didn’t hold weight with Ciara. "It was an easy cop-out to use the show as an excuse to just kind of nixing the whole thing,” she said to West, “but obviously you're enjoying it.”

West told Bustle that keeping the relationship quiet before the show aired presented a challenge for him, too.

“We never officially made it a ‘thing,’ but we might as well have been,” he said. “So that was weird for me, too, because how can you be boyfriend and girlfriend with someone when you're supposed to keep it a secret?”

The Bravo star knows he didn’t handle things well during the reunion.

“One, I was nervous because I hadn’t seen her in a long time,” West told Bustle. “And two, we never had hardcore closure. We just agreed to maybe not talk, and then I didn’t really know where we stood. Three, I tried to react to what everyone else was saying [instead of] saying what I wanted to say. It was such a disaster.”

In May, West told PEOPLE that he hoped to explore his relationship with Ciara outside of the house when the summer ended.

“Being in that house is somewhat of an abnormal situation, where you are going to be seeing someone every single weekend, you're in this microscope, always together, and with the exact same group of people,” he said. “I like to see how you and your friends mesh with my friends. So, there was a lot of real-life stuff that I wanted to explore and unpack. Summer was fun, but there's so much more to life and dating than you can figure out in the house on a TV show. I wanted to see how that would go.”
