Editors' Picks are the Fashionista team's true (#notspon) fashion and beauty obsessions, handpicked by professionals who see it all.

Bras aren't something I have a particularly strong opinion on. I work from home and mostly live in activewear — when I do need to wear one, I'll grab whichever is at the top of my designated bra drawer, most of which I've had for years, versus the one that fits best for what I'm wearing (even though I read The Lingerie Addict enough to make more informed decisions).

I must admit, one age-old piece of advice has proven true: The best, most comfortable bras I've ever owned have come from a proper fitting with a specialist, who measured me, guided me and recommended specific styles for my preferences and needs. So what if you feel like Lizzie McGuire yelling "I want a bra!" at her mom at a department store? That's how I was introduced to the Natori Feathers (if you know, you know), and how I welcomed Chantelle's C Jolie T-shirt bra into my rotation.

Chantelle went viral earlier this year when the trailer for "The Marvels" (a film that, despite the weird response it's gotten, is a damn good time) dropped, and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel appeared in a formfitting but seemingly supportive white tank top — no errant bra strap or cup outline in sight. Anyone who's bought and been disappointed by T-shirt bra (we tested a bunch of them here) marketing knows: This is a sartorial white whale.

Larson clearly does, too, as she was quick to engage with the discourse and confirm that this wasn't Marvel movie magic, but rather a game-changing retail find (with some adjustments from her personal on-set costumer, Rebecca Higginson).

The bra was from Chantelle, she wrote on Twitter. And though the she didn't provide the exact model, the brand's C Jolie Custom Fit T-Shirt bra achieves a similar effect. Its foam cups are designed to mold to your breast shape and become invisible under clothing; a brushed knit-lined lace band adds to the smoothing effect, and the adjustable straps with a J-hook allow you to adapt the back based on your top. It's actually comfortable enough for all-day wear and, reader, it does indeed disappear under a white tank top.

Chantelle's C Jolie T-shirt bra is available in sizes A through I, and sold at a variety of retailers. (I got fitted for mine at Bloomingdales, gifted by the brand; it's also in stock at NordstromAmazon, Bare Necessities and certain specialty stores.) There are also a few other shapes within the range, if you prefer a different silhouette. And if it's good enough for Captain Marvel, it's good enough for us normals.
