Taylor Momsen gets bit by a bat while opening for AC/DC in Spain: 'I must really be a witch'
The singer-songwriter — dubbed "batgirl" by hospital staff — will need to get rabies shots for the next two weeks.
It doesn't get any more rock & roll than a bat bite on stage.
Taylor Momsen got bit by one while opening for AC/DC during the band's European leg in Seville, Spain on Wednesday. The Pretty Reckless frontwoman shared footage from the moment on Instagram on Friday, including video of her at a local hospital getting treated for the bites.
According to Momsen, the bat flew onto her leg during a performance of "Witches Burn" and clung on — though she was completely oblivious to the little guy's presence until the crowd began "screaming and pointing."
"He was cute, but yes he bit me," Momsen captioned the post, adding that she'll need to receive rabies shots for the next two weeks. She said the hospital staff aptly dubbed her "batgirl." From stage, as captured in Momsen's video, the singer-songwriter nonchalantly told the crowd, "I must really be a witch."
The video even includes a brief shot of the bat resting on Momsen's leg. Let's just be glad she didn't pull an Ozzy Osbourne and bite into it.
Momsen's Pretty Reckless is currently touring with AC/DC for the latter's Power Up tour, in promotion of their 17th studio album of the same name. It kicked off May 17 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Next up is one more show at Seville's Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla before heading off to Amsterdam, Vienna, Zurich, Dessel, and Paris.
Momsen, who left acting over a decade ago to pursue her music career, last made headlines when she reunited with her Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley on his Podcrushed podcast last year. She spoke about how the "complicated" decision to leave the popular CW series changed her life "overnight."

"As soon as I got to an age where I could make my own decisions, it was like a click," Momsen told her former onscreen brother. "I woke up one morning and went, 'Wait a second. I don't have to do this? I don't have to do this other job? I can just play in my band and tour and write songs? I can just do that?'"
