“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” Shatters Records and Becomes the Most-Watched Music Film on Disney+
'Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)' made its streaming debut on Disney+ on Thursday night
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert film is still shattering records — even as fans are able to enjoy it from home.
Just days after the full-length version of the pop superstar's concert film, dubbed Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), made its streaming debut on Disney+, it's become the most-watched music films on the platform of all time.
According to a report by Deadline, the movie documenting Swift's career-spanning concert broke records by earning 4.6 million views in just the three days after it dropped last Thursday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
Within the past weekend alone, fans of the Grammy winner, 34, watched 16.2 million hours of the film, which has a runtime of three-and-a-half hours, or the entire length of her Eras Tour set. (According to Deadline, Disney+ counts a view as the total stream time divided by a title's runtime.)

In becoming the most-watched music film on the streaming service, The Eras Tour beats out popular films like The Beatles: Get Back, Black Is King: A Film by Beyoncé, Swift's own folklore: the long pond studio sessions, among other titles, per Deadline.
Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), which is exclusive to Disney+, includes performances of several, additional acoustic songs that had previously been omitted from the original theatrical release and VOD version. Now, fans can see footage of the singer-songwriter's stripped-down performances of fan-favorite songs "Death by a Thousand Cuts," "I Can See You," "Maroon" and "You Are in Love."
When the hitmaker released the on-demand cut of The Eras Tour in time for her birthday in December, she also added back in performances of “The Archer,” “Long Live” and "Wildest Dreams,” which did not appear in the cinematic version due to length.

The movie's successful streaming release is among several of the records Swift has broken since her concert film first arrived in October.
Not only did it become sell the most-ever tickets in the first day of ticket sales at AMC Theatres, it had the highest-grossing opening of a concert film in history. The project, directed by Sam Welch, also became one of the highest-earning concert films of all time — being second only to Michael Jackson's 2009 documentary This Is It.

Shortly after the initial release — which crossed the $200 million mark at the global box office just three weeks after its debut — Swift reflected on the film's success on Instagram.
She wrote at the time, “What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into."
“I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for 😇," the "Karma" singer added.
The Eras Tour was originally filmed over the course of Swift's run of shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in August 2023.
