What are Taylor Swift's UK plans during the Eras Tour?
What is Taylor Swift up to while she is here in the UK?
Everyone is talking about Taylor Swift's arrival in the UK ahead of her first performance of the Eras Tour this week.
It's shaping up to be a busy summer for Swift who will be performing in the UK for about two months and a half. Swift is here from the start of June and her last performance in the UK is in London on 20 August. After the UK though, The Tortured Poets Department star will take a well deserved rest before taking to the stage again in Toronto in November.
As excitement builds ahead of next week, we take a look at some of the Shake It Off hitmaker's plans for her time in the UK.
Where is Taylor Swift staying?
Swift may be performing in some of the UK's biggest cities but it has been reported the singer will be escaping to the country for time to herself. The Sun first reported Swift has booked a £3.3million Cotswolds cottage for the duration of her time in the UK. The newspaper cited that the celebrity sees the countryside as "her happy place" and when she's not singing on stage she likes to be in her "muddy boots" in the "fresh air".
The great and the good of the showbiz world love the Cotswolds, just like the rest of us. It is home to A-list hotspot, and private members’ club, Soho Farmhouse, near Chipping Norton. Supermodel Kate Moss, Britain's Got Talent's Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden as well as the Beckhams all have gorgeous homes in the Cotswolds.
It is no secret that Swift loves the countryside. Remember on her album Folklore, she sang about her love for the natural beauty of the Lake District on one of the songs. The Lakes includes the lyrics, "Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die" and, "Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry."
Travis Kelce and Swift's UK-based pals
It's believed Travis Kelce will join Swift for her time in the UK. Recently, the sports star had dropped a pretty big hint he was going to be here. When asked about "packing his bags" to join her, he told Entertainment Tonight: "Oh, you know I gotta go support." The couple were most recently seen enjoying a romantic break in Lake Como between Swift's The Eras tour dates.
Kelce didn't share what dates he would be with her. However, he called Paris and London "can't miss" events. The devoted boyfriend has already attended Swift's date in Paris, so surely this means we will be seeing him in London too?
He added: "I think she’s at Wembley eight times. Which is mind-blowing that she can do that many shows in one stadium and fill that thing up. And London is always an amazing city and Paris is a beautiful city and she will be all over Europe. There won’t be a bad show, I promise you that."
As well as her Lover, it wouldn't be surprising if she caught up with some of her UK pals while Swift was back. This of course includes her long-time friends Sophie Turner and Ed Sheeran – plus Suki Waterhouse and Lena Dunham.
Where is Taylor Swift performing in the UK?
While it's reported Swift will be escaping to the country to relax between her tour dates, she will be storming the stage in many of the UK's major cities.
The singing superstar will first perform in the UK in Edinburgh for three nights in June. Ahead of Swift's arrival, homeless people could face being sent out of Edinburgh so there is enough space in hotels for tourists visiting the Scottish city for The Eras tour. The City of Edinburgh Council has said it is working to find "alternative accommodation" for those who have been impacted.
After Edinburgh, Swift is taking her tour to Liverpool and Cardiff. She will finish with eight dates at Wembley Stadium in London.
