This Taylor Swift lookalike gets stopped on the street. On Thursday night she'll take the stage

Ceara Copat says a week hardly goes by without someone coming up to her on the street to tell her she looks like Taylor Swift.

"They bug me to perform because I really love to sing and I sing all the time," she said on Windsor Morning.

"So they're like, 'why don't you just take this persona? Everyone tells you you look like her, so why don't you just do it and run with it?'"

She'll do just that with two performances Thursday at Essex Fun Fest at a show billed Forever Swift, with performances at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Copat said she was first booked by Sylvia Ward who runs E-A Parties — a local business that sends people dressed up as princesses and superheroes to kids' birthday parties and other events.

"When I go around, the kids love me and they ask me to dance with them or sing with them," she said.

"But they love me when I walk around, just even my normal day-to-day, like, most kids will come up to me or look at me and wonder, is this her? A lot of people have asked me, 'Are you sure?' And I'm like, oh, seriously, I'm not that tall, but I'm trying, I'm trying."

Copat says tonight's performances will include "new Taylor and old Taylor, just because I want all audiences to be fulfilled."

'The kids are going to absolutely love it'

Ward is confident those who attend the performances will not be disappointed.

"It's kind of like a tribute sing-along. We're going to invite the kids up to dance and sing with us," Ward said. "We're going to get the crowd as into it as possible."
