Taylor Swift Publicist Slams Gossiper Deuxmoi Over “Insane” Joe Alwyn Marriage Ceremony Claim
Taylor Swift’s longtime publicist Tree Paine took a rare move into the public spotlight last night to slap back at a claim by Instagram gossip account Deuxmoi that the Eras Tour star and former beau Joe Alwyn had some sort of non-legal marriage or commitment ceremony several years ago.
“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi,” Paine posted on X/Twitter late last night. “There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

The strongly worded response followed claims by Deuxmoi that Taylor and Alwyn, who ended their romantic relationship earlier this year, had a “ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the U.K. and it was described to me as a ‘marriage’ by more than one person. It was NEVER made legal.”
Deuxmoi, the anonymously-written Instagram account with 2 million followers, responded to Tree on an Instagram Story post. “Well I make zero dollars from lying.. can publicists say the same. Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words.
“Either way,” Deuxmoi continues, “I apologize to Taylor.”
Deuxmoi did not specify what was meant by the reference to “what just happened,” but it’s likely an allusion to the Nov. 17 death of 23-year-old concertgoer Ana Clara Benevides Machado in Rio de Janeiro. Benevides Machado collapsed at a Swift concert at the Nilton Santos Stadium during the city’s extreme heat wave.
