It's a love story between Taylor Swift and Mariska Hargitay's new cat.

The "Anti-Hero" singer, 33, shared her thoughts on the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress naming her new cat "Karma," taking inspiration from Swift's hit song of the same name, which appears on her latest album, Midnights.

In late November, Hargitay, 59, shared photos of her new feline on Instagram and introduced the pet, captioning the shots with clever references to Swift's song.

"Karma is a Cat @taylorswift Meet Karma. My Cat.🐱" Hargitay wrote. She then tagged "MeAndKarmaVibeLikeThat," "AndIKeepMySideOfMyPawClean," and "KarmaIsACat."

Swift commented under the post, "Are you serious?!!!! Nothing has ever come more full circle ⭕️ LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! 😻"

The "full circle" moment Swift references is connected to her cat, Olivia Benson, who is named after Hargitay's character in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2015, Swift shared a video of Hargitay meeting the feline, whom Swift got in 2014, and shared that things were "going well."

The songstress and starlet have been friends for years. The actress was featured in Swift's 2015 "Bad Blood" music video. And when Swift was named one of Time's 100 most influential people that same year, Hargitay penned a short essay on her behalf.

The singer is a "megawatt talent, an extraordinary spirit, an impossibly charming blend of impishness, poise, and radiance to spare," Hargitay wrote.

She was also in the stands when the Eras Tour stopped in Los Angeles. Hargitay shared snaps of her with Savannah Guthrie at the show and described the concert as "the most magical night." When The Eras Tour concert film hit theaters, Hargitay showed her support by attending its Los Angeles premiere with her daughter Amaya Josephine.

Both Swift and Hargitay have been vocal about their love of cats. The pop star has three beloved cats, including Olivia Benson, Meredith Grey (introduced in 2011), and Benjamin Button (introduced in 2019).

Benjamin Button was featured with Swift on one of her covers for Time's 2023 Person of the Year. In the shot, Swift poses in a long-sleeved black bodysuit and black tights with the Ragdoll cat draped over her neck.

Swift said she met the feline as a kitten on the set of her music video for "ME!" and took him home after the shoot. A few days later, Swift introduced him to the world on Instagram with a cute photo of the two of them, writing, "And then there were three … "
