Teresa Giudice Returns to Natural Curly Hair and Fans Are Having Flashbacks of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 1

"I'm back to my curls," the reality TV star says in a video reveal of her new look

Teresa Giudice is getting a summer hair makeover.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star debuted a brand new look, ditching her usual soft waves for curly, mermaid-inspired locks that are reminiscent of her early days on the Bravo show.

Giudice, 51, showed off the voluminous style in a joint Instagram post with The Great Cazoo Boutique and Beauty Bar, a salon in Wayne, N.J., and Lucia Stephanina Casazza, the salon's owner.

In the photoset, Giudice smiles and blows a kiss to the camera, her newly curly hair parted to the side and reaching down to her waist.

The caption of the Wednesday, June 26, post says that the reality star was "embracing her natural curls" and shared that the look was achieved using 24-inch Lucia Hair Extensions and products by Color Wow.

A separate joint post features a video of the RHONJ cast member undergoing her curly hair makeover.

"What are we doing?" her hairstylist asks Giudice, who is seated in the styling chair.

"We're taking out these extensions and we're putting in curly ones," she replies. "Like my naturally curly hair."

When Giudice, who remarks that it's been "so long" since she's styled her hair in her natural curls, gasps when she sees her new style for the first time.

"Oh my god, I'm back to my curls," she says. "I love it. It matches perfect."

Fans on Instagram are loving Giudice's new style, with some saying it reminds them of her look from season 1 of RHONJ.

"This is the real Teresa!" one user wrote in the comments of the video post. "The OG Theresa."

"I’ve always loved Teresa’s natural curls and look," wrote another. "She's a person who has natural beauty that most don’t have. She makes 50 look young!"

Giudice recently made waves with one of her most daring fashion looks to date — a purple catsuit that she wore on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. The skintight lilac ensemble featured a low-scooped neckline and sheer panels down the legs, across the chest and on the backside. She accessorized with bracelets, sparkly earrings and silver pumps.

As is her signature, the reality star kept her hair as sky-high as possible, her bouncy waves teased on top for extra volume.
