The stakes were high in The Traitors when Ash was eventually banished from the game. "I want to say you are an absolutely magnificent group of people," she said. "It's been an honour and a privilege." The episode has yet to reveal the reaction from the other cast members.

Her dramatic exit comes after she confronted her fellow traitors Paul and Harry for turning on her in front of the faithfuls. Earlier in the episode, she narrowly escaped banishment while Brian was sent home by the group in the nail-biting roundtable.

Emotional Ash admitted she was really riled up by what had gone down at the roundtable. She said: "I'm very f***ing p****d off at both of you." The traitor went on in a furious tirade: "This early on in the game we need to be a team if traitors are going to win."

Paul tried to explain his reasoning as to why he had chosen to vote Ash despite still having the option to choose Brian. He said: "Two reasons, my whole narrative is that bigger personalities are getting voted off. When it come to final three, Brian isn't in that category, Diane isn't in that category. You did contradict yourself. I thought people I've got onside will think why did he flip over to Brian?"

Harry apologised to Ash too, saying: "I genuinely think Brian was setting himself a trap, to throw anyone off and I'm so happy you are still here." Miles didn't vote for Ash and stayed silent during the exchange. However, later Ash wasn't so lucky and she was voted out of the game afterall.

The show returned to our screens with three explosive episodes last week. We saw the 22 new contestants begin the game but some of The Traitors stars have appeared on TV before - were there any of them that you recognised?

Ahead of the second season, Claudia Winkleman had admitted she felt nervous about whether it would be as popular second time round. "I'm feeling nervous and weird about it," she told Heat magazine. "I originally said ‘let’s just leave it as this magical thing that happened’. Then the head of BBC took my temperature."
