Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call’s second demo released

If you’re the proud owner of a Japanese-region Nintendo 3DS, you’re in luck. Square Enix has released a second demo for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, a direct sequel to the popular rhythm game Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Even if you have already decided to get the game, there are enough bonuses waiting in the demo to make it worth your time.

The two tracks released for the demo are “Edgar & Mash’s Theme” from Final Fantasy VI and “Those Who Fight (Piano Version)” from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The promotional video below shows off a little of both tracks, and also gives us a glimpse of Reno from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children getting beaten up to the sound of music.

The demo also features new party members for you to play with; joining the roster will be Edgar (Final Fantasy VI), Barret (Final Fantasy VII), Eiko (Final Fantasy IX), and Tifa (Final Fantasy VII) in her Advent Children outfit.

And if you aren’t already hyperventilating from excitement, ten additional characters will be unlocked to join your orchestra when you transfer over your demo save data to the final version of the game. This brings your total number of initially playable characters to a decent 24.
