Three charged with murder of 'gentle giant'

Three men have been charged with the murder of a 20-year-old man who was shot in west London.

Sebastiaan James-Kraan died in hospital three days after the incident on Templeman Road in Hanwell, Ealing, at about 02:10 BST on Sunday, 9 June.

Javier Rodriguez-McDonald, 18, Jayson Rodriguez-McDonald, 19 and Emmanuel Mgbean, 19, are due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the Metropolitan Police said.

Mr James-Kraan, previously described by his family as a "gentle giant with a heart of pure gold", died from a gunshot wound, a post-mortem examination on Friday found.

Police said Javier Rodriguez-McDonald, of Emanuel Avenue, Acton, Jayson Rodriguez-McDonald, of Uxbridge Road, Ealing, and Mr Mgbean, of Alperton Lane, Wembley, also faced charges of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A man in his 40s was arrested in Bristol on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released on bail.

The Met has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information.
