Police have arrested three men on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs after an investigation into drug supply in a North Yorkshire town.

Officers arrested two of the men, both in their 20s, this week over the supply of Class A drugs as well as human trafficking in Selby.

A man in his 30s was later arrested on suspicion of the supply of Class A drugs.

Inspector Martin Wedgwood, who leads the Selby Neighbourhood Policing team which carried out the arrests, said crime of this sort would "not be tolerated".

He added: “We will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of those who supply drugs in the town centre and the surrounding rural villages and do all we can to put them before the courts."

He asked for anyone with information to get in touch with police.

All three men have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
