What time is Luke Littler playing tonight? How to watch teenage sensation in World Darts Championship final

Luke Littler will look to complete one of the most incredible sporting stories in recent memory when he competes in the World Darts Championship final tonight.

The 16-year-old marvel faces new world No1 Luke Humphries in this evening's showpiece as he attempts to put the finishing touches on a truly remarkable debut run at Alexandra Palace that has captivated audiences everywhere.

The Warrington-born Littler faces Humphries in a rematch of the Hayling Island quarter-finals from 2019, when a then 12-year-old Littler gave his opponent a tough test before losing out narrowly.

Littler has been the talk and the biggest story of darts' signature global tournament at Ally Pally across the festive period, thrashing his idol Raymond van Barneveld - a player 40 years his senior - to reach the quarter-finals in north London having already seen off other experienced campaigners in Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding and Matt Campbell during a fairytale run.

Littler then brushed aside Northern Ireland's Brendan Dolan 5-1 to tee up a semi-final showdown with 2018 champion Rob Cross, whose epic comeback against Chris Dobey 24 hours earlier could not prepare him for his meeting against the teenage phenomenon as he fell 6-2.

"I have no words. It's just crazy, that I'm in a World Championship final on my debut," Littler said afterwards. "I was happy winning one game but I could go all the way. My target was to still be here after Christmas and now here I am in the final.

"I've just settled on the stage - once I find the rhythm, I'm good to go. I'll just keep doing what I've been doing. In the morning I'll go for my ham and cheese omelette, then later a pizza and then practice on the board."

Looking to spoil Littler's dream is Humphries, who whitewashed Scott Williams 6-0 in his own emphatic semi-final victory to jump above defending champion Michael Smith and three-time winner Michael van Gerwen to claim maiden world No1 status on Tuesday night, having already thrashed Dave Chisnall to follow earlier wins over Joe Cullen, Ricardo Pietreczko and Lee Evans.

"The way he's played, I've seen it many times - but when you come up on this stage, it can be a lot tougher, and he's just proved he's got a lot of bottle," Humphries said of Littler. "Nothing is going to faze him - if he played like that tonight, tomorrow is not going to faze him at all.

"So I'll probably have to play the game of my life to stand a chance of beating him. I know what's in front of me. I've got to play at my best. But I'm hoping I make him play at his best and we give the fans one of the best world finals that's ever been seen."
