Here is a look at some Titans thoughts from around the web.

Paul Kuharsky returned from vacation this week. You know you love a sports reporter’s work when their vacation actually annoys you and you miss their stories. Welcome back PK.

PK posted a video explaining how Brice McCain does not like to be one of those cornerbacks that follows a wide receiver. He wants to get position and dictate the route the wide receiver can run.

Jason Wolf predicts the Titans will keep five wide receivers. Dorial Green-Beckham, Risjard Matthews, Tajae Sharpe, Kendall Wright, and either Hunter or Douglas. Hunter explains to him, he doesn’t want to be the odd man out.

“I most definitely want to be a starter,” Hunter said. “I definitely want to be productive for the team, lead the team in categories, I want to be a good blocker for running backs to help move the ball.”

Wolf and the Tennesseean post a video of Brian Orakpo discussing DeMarco Murray.

“I think he can do it plus more,” Orakpo said Sunday at the Music City Sports Festival. “People don’t remember, I’ve been battling DeMarco since college. He went to OU. I went to Texas. … We’ve been battling for years, and this guy has been giving us fits and fits, year after year. And I’m just excited he’s with us now. Because that year in Dallas was definitely special. They had a tremendous offense that was fed by DeMarco Murray, and I felt like they wouldn’t go anywhere if it wasn’t for what he was doing that year.”

In regard to his down year-

“There’s a lot of factors that may play into it,” Orakpo said. “Wrong style, not getting along with the coaching staff, offensive line being garbage. I mean, it’s a lot of things that can be attributed to the way he performed or the way he didn’t perform as well as everybody wanted him to. But I really feel like the Titans is the team for him, and like I said, he’s been great so far.”

The Titans official site shared a nice article of Brian Heimerdinger remembering his father Mike. He was the Titans offensive coordinator for years.

Terry McCormick shared some insight as to why third round draft picks are not being signed as quickly as the others.

John Glennon wrote about Marcus Mariota entering year two of his career here.

But because Mariota set such a high bar last season — posting the third-best rookie passer rating in the last 10 years — it might not be fair to assume he’ll make huge statistical strides in year two, the kind made by Blake Bortles of the Jaguars and Derek Carr of the Raiders after less impressive rookie seasons.

NFL.com’s Conor Orr considers the Titans one of the potential Cinderella teams in 2016.

Finally Jim Wyatt shared some wonderful pictures of Titans players teaching young kids the game of football at a recent camp. Look out Mariota, Jurrell Casey just may be the Titans new backup quarterback.
