Tokyo Girls' Style to perform solo at Nippon Budokan

23 May – Japanese idol group Tokyo Girls' Style has announced their first solo live at the Nippon Budokan, which will be held on 22 December.

According to Tokyo Hive, the idol group made the announcement at the last stop of their "Tokyo Girls' Style 2nd Japan Tour 2012 ~Limited Addiction~" tour at the Hibiya Kokaido concert hall, which made member Yamabe Miyu burst into tears, when the 3,000 fans cheered for them.

Meanwhile, the group also announced that they would be taking a two-month break from their activities in preparation for their solo live.

"We're going to level up our performances and all of that, so we can show you a changed Tokyo Girls' Style. Please wait for us," Konishi Ayano said to the fans.

Tokyo Girls' Style would be performing at the Nippon Budokan together with other idol groups for AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi's "The 1st Yabi Matsuri ~Idol Rinji Soukai~" on 25 June.

The group would also be releasing their next single "Kirari" on 5 October.
