Tom Sandoval Is Grilled About His Infamous Nail Polish During Shirtless “Special Forces” Interrogation (Exclusive)

The 'Vanderpump Rules' star is no stranger to being questioned about his life choices after exploding his nine-year relationship by having an affair with a costar

Tom Sandoval just can't stay out of the hot seat.

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at Monday’s season 2 finale of Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, the Vanderpump Rules star, 41, and four remaining recruits — Tyler Cameron, Erin Jackson, JoJo Siwa and Nick Viall — are captured and taken into their final stage of selection, where they each face hours of intense, military-grade interrogation.

“Mentally, I’m already really stretched — sleep-deprived, sensory-deprived,” Sandoval says as he strips off his clothing.

In a confessional interview, Sandoval adds that he’s been “shouted at” and “tortured” during his time in the competition, adding that he's on the brink of “the point where I crack.”

As he continues to undress in the interrogation room, the TomTom bar owner is asked about the “varnish” on his nails.

“Oh, it’s just kinda my thing,” he says.

The reality star's love of white nail polish has been a hot topic for Bravo fans in the months since the Scandoval, when he exploded his nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix, 38, by having a months-long affair with their friend and costar Rachel "Raquel" Leviss, 29.

“I’m not about to walk around town with some grubby-ass chipped nails,” Sandoval once said to justify making time for a nail appointment at the expense of a meeting with his castmate and business partner Tom Schwartz, 40.

But the Special Forces interrogators don't seem impressed with the Schwartz & Sandy's co-owner's passion for self-care. In fact, they even suggest that the TV personality deserves “a slap or worse.”

“I want you to forget about this,” one tells Sandoval while grabbing his hands, seeming to reference the reality star's nail polish. “I want you to start listening to what you’re being told. No messing around. No delaying things.”

In last week’s episode, Sandoval got emotional when he received a video message from his mother Terri Green.

“Hi Tom! I miss you like crazy but I'm so looking forward to seeing you and hearing all about it,” Terri said as he broke down in tears. “You take care of yourself and just do it, Tom. All right, I love you. See you soon, not soon enough but soon.”

Earlier in the season, he explained his recent misdeeds to his Special Forces castmates: “I had an affair, and it just blew up. People were messaging me paragraphs of just, like, vicious, like, so visceral, like, hatred.”

“Before this whole scandal, I would meet people who had probably seen me on Vanderpump Rules, and they’d be like, ‘Oh my gosh, he’s so cool,'" he explained in a confessional interview. "And then now, people think I’m a complete narcissist, creeper vibes."
