Tottenham ratings vs Everton: Pape Matar Sarr excellent as Guglielmo Vicario ensures crucial three points
Tottenham beat Everton 2-1 in a nervy match, but ultimately extended their winning run to three matches.
Ange Postecoglou's side were well on the way to heading into Christmas on the back of victory after Richarlison and Heung-min Son put them 2-0 up after 18 minutes.
But Everton grew as the half-time approached, and they halved the deficit when Andre Gomes slammed home with eight minutes to go.
Despite Sean Dyche's side maintaining their threat to the end, Tottenham held on to claim all three points.

Guglielmo Vicario 8
On hand to save Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goal-bound header early on, and stayed alert throughout, pushing Arnaut Danjuma's shot over the bar with a match-winning save.
Pedro Porro 6
Should have got tighter to Vitalii Mykolenko when the Ukrainian was seeking to cross for Calvert-Lewin. But attacked well and was involved in Spurs's second.
Cristian Romero 6
Defended solidly but was replaced by Eric Dier at half-time and was then seen with an ice-pack under his right hamstring in a fresh injury worry for Spurs.
Ben Davies 6
Has filled in at centre-back well while Micky van de Ven has been sidelined with injury. Was assured again.
Emerson Royal 7
Defended really well here, including an important last-ditch tackle in fast-half stoppage time as Everton searched for a goal to get back in the game.
Pape Matar Sarr 8
Becoming a key player for Spurs. Was everywhere and put in a real shift before being given a rest with 17 minutes to go.
Oliver Skipp 6
Made just his second Premier League start of the season and was assured on the ball and in breaking up play.
Brennan Johnson 8
Excellent. Assisted Tottenham's opener, his saved shot effectively assisted their second, and was forward-thinking whenever he got the ball.
Dejan Kulusevski 7
Ran at Everton with purpose and might have scored had Jordan Pickford not produced an outstanding sprawling save in the second half.
Heung-min Son 7
Carries the ball with such close control. Moved Spurs into an ultimately unassailable position when he scored to make it 2-0.
Richarlison 7
In red-hot form at the moment, the Brazilian put Spurs ahead by notching his fourth goal in three games. Celebrated, before remembering he used to play for Everton.
