Tottenham have signed PSV winger Steven Bergwijn in deal worth £26.7million, becoming the club's second permanent arrival in as many days.

The 22-year-old has been a long-time target for Spurs, who will pay £25m to the Eredivisie giants plus a further £1.7m in add-ons for a second January addition following Gedson Fernandes's 18-month loan move from Benfica.

Spurs also wrapped up the permanent signing of Giovani Lo Celso, who had been flourishing on a loan deal from Real Betis and signed a five-and-a-half-year contract on Tuesday after the club exercised their £27.3m option this month, having already paid the Spanish club a loan fee of around £15m.

Bergwijn, who is not expected to be the final new face at Hotspur Way before Friday's 11pm transfer window deadline, and Lo Celso will help fill the void left by Christian Eriksen, who joined Inter Milan for around £17m on Tuesday.

Spurs are still in the market for a striker, with talks continuing with AC Milan over Krzysztof Piatek, while Chelsea striker - formerly of Arsenal - Olivier Giroud is reportedly a new target.
