Tottenham XI vs Everton: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

For perhaps the first time in months, Ange Postecoglou has some genuine selection headaches for Tottenham's visit to Everton today.

A tight turnaround from Wednesday night's 3-2 win over Brentford leaves Postecoglou needing to rest key players, and Brennan Johnson comes in after impressing from the bench against the Bees and are pushing for a return to the XI. Dejan Kulusevski makes way.

Postecoglou also has Pape Sarr available again following Senegal's elimination from the African Cup of Nations, leaving him with plenty of competition in midfield in particular. He is on the bench.

The Spurs manager has dismissed the suggestion that James Maddison may not be ready to start again, despite the playmaker pulling up with cramp towards the end of Wednesday’s game.

Asked about Maddison's readiness to start again, Postecoglou said: "He's a professional footballer, mate. I hope so because if we're going to be playing in Europe, unless he wants to pick and choose which games to play, I'd suggest that Madders will be right for tomorrow."

Spurs captain Heung-min Son and Yves Bissouma remain away on international duty, while Giovani Lo Celso (muscle), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring), Manor Solomon (knee) are still thought to be sidelined.
