New trailer released for Matthew McConaughey's 'Free State of Jones'

The latest trailer has been released for Matthew McConaughey's upcoming film "Free State of Jones."

The film, which has been written and directed by four-time Oscar nominee Gary Ross ("The Hunger Games," "Seabiscuit"), tells the true story of Southern farmer Newton Knight, played by McConaughey, who led an armed rebellion against the Confederacy to turn drive them out of Jones County, Mississippi and turn it into a free state.

Also starring are Gugu Mbatha-Raw ("Beyond the Lights"), Keri Russell ("The Americans"), and Mahershala Ali ("The Hunger Games" franchise).

The film is due to be released in theaters June 24, 2016
