A tree on overhead power lines — A tree has fallen on power lines between Norwich and Diss, causing delays for passengers [Greater Anglia]

Rail passengers have been facing disruption due to a tree falling on overhead power lines.

Trains between Norwich and Diss have been cancelled, which has caused delays for travellers including commuters to London.

Greater Anglia said it expected services to reopen at 15:00 BST and repairs were under way by Network Rail engineers.

It added that ticket restrictions had been lifted for any affected customers and tickets for Tuesday would be accepted on Wednesday instead.

Hourly trains will run in both directions between Diss and London Liverpool Street until midday.

Greater Anglia passengers will be able to use CrossCountry and Great Northern trains between Cambridge and Ely, while East Midlands Railway will accept Greater Anglia tickets between Ely and Norwich.

The latest updates on the delays and information on how tickets can be reimbursed are available on the Greater Anglia website.

Aircraft delivery delays 'brutal' - Lufthansa CEO
STORY: Aircraft delivery issues are having a "brutal" impact on Lufthansa, and won't be resolved before the end of the decade.That's according to CEO Carsten Spohr, speaking at a business press club in Stuttgart late Thursday (June 27).He said the aircraft shortage could be costing Lufthansa some $535 million a year - although he did not provide an exact figure.The German group has ordered 250 new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing to modernize its fleet.Those deliveries are scheduled between this year and 2029, but Spohr said, "no plane arrives on time." He added around 100 of Lufthansa's 750 aircraft were grounded either for maintenance reasons or because they'd been decommissioned.Earlier this week, Airbus lowered its forecast for deliveries this year to around 770 jets from around 800. The announcement came with growing doubts among suppliers over its jet output as Airbus grapples with parts shortages.At rival Boeing, a series of incidents have raised regulatory scrutiny of the U.S. manufacturer.It's added to delays in deliveries that originated during the pandemic.

Toyota to launch first EV with advanced self driving system for China in 2025
Toyota is planning to launch the first electric car model equipped with an advanced autonomous driving system similar to Tesla's Full Self-Driving for the Chinese market next year, one of its Chinese joint ventures said. The JV with state-owned Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) aims to restore the Japanese automaker's market share in China by catching up with Chinese rivals on technologies in hybrids, batteries and intelligent vehicles.
