The Traitors star Amanda Lovett has opened up about her hopes for a quick return to reality TV after featuring as one of the traitors on the hit BBC show last year.

Amanda gained popularity for her skills and act as a traitor on the game show hosted by Claudia Winkleman, which tasked a collection of strangers with sussing out who was a traitor and who was a faithful.

Ultimately, Amanda was betrayed by her fellow traitor Wilf, but Amanda still gained plenty of admirers and fans from her stint on the excellent TV series.

Now, in a new interview with Metro, Amanda has teased a potential return to our TV screens sometime soon. But she'd like to participate in a show with a public vote this time around.

"I’d love to do a reality TV show where the public vote rather than getting banished or murdered," Amanda explained.

"There’s a lot of irons on the fire at the moment with TV, so yeah I’m not going anywhere!"

Amanda has enjoyed her time since starring on The Traitors, which was followed by a US spin-off, and has particularly enjoyed being embraced by the LGBTQ+ community.

"I’ve been embraced by a family and a community that I’ve never experienced before. I’m in a bubble of love and I’ve really found my place – so don’t kick me out!" Amanda said.

"For people to feel they really love me for me is truly immense. I feel like I belong for the first time in my life," she added.

"I feel like I’ve been running all my life, running or not knowing where I’m going and all of a sudden I’ve hit the finish line and I know where I am."

The Traitors UK aired on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer. The Traitors US is available to stream on BBC iPlayer in the UK and Peacock in the US.
