Trophy Room’s Next Air Jordan 1 Collaboration Is One of Its Most Exclusive Yet

More from Footwear News

Trophy Room, the Orlando, Fla.-based retailer owned by Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, is gearing up for the release of its latest collaboration.

After launching the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low “Rookie Card Away” in March 2024, the store is following it up with a semi-matching “Rookie Card Home” colorway. Both styles were first previewed in December 2023.

While the overall color palettes are the same on both pairs, the upcoming Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low “Rookie Card Home” has a handful of noticeable differences. The embroidered Swoosh is threaded in white instead of black, while the rest of the changes rely on material contrast. Leather replaces the red satin used on the previously release, and the toe panel is also reworked in a new texture on the “Rookie Card Home” version. Other details including the pre-patinated off-white midsole, textured black heel and gold heel Wings logo appear the same on both pairs.

The theme of both Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Lows relies on nostalgia, with specific references to Jordan’s 1986-87 Fleer rookie card as well as a 1984 Sports Illustrated photoshoot featuring the “Black Toe” Air Jordan 1s. Campaign clips for both pairs include storylines based around the aforementioned rookie card.

Trophy Room’s 2021 Air Jordan 1 High “Freeze Out” collaboration remains one of the most coveted versions of the model. Although its aftermarket value has lessened over time, StockX lists an average resale price of around $1,250 for the ’21 high-top.

The “Rookie Card Away” Air Jordan 1 Low style was available not only from Trophy Room, but also from Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers. Unlike that pair, the “Rookie Card Home,” retailing at $140, will be released exclusively through Trophy Room.

According to an Instagram post from the retailer, an in-store raffle will be held June 23 and June 24 with winners being notified June 25. Those who win can choose to either pick up the sneakers in store or have them shipped, but all entrants are required to be Florida residents.
