Tyny Tools: everyday life just got a bit easier

A set of personal tools for everyday life has taken crowdfunding website Kickstarter by storm.

"Tyny Tools" is a series of three simple yet helpful accessories for transporting, safeguarding and storing everyday objects.

The colorful range includes key clips that can be used to attach anything to either a bike or a backpack. Available in three colors and two different size options, the stretchable clips can be used for bundling items together (such as for cord management) or for strapping items down when in transit.

Swivel clips capable of turning 360 degrees also form part of the range. Made from durable nylon they can hold up to 150 lbs (68 kg) depending on their size and can be used for everything from attaching water bottles to backpacks to hanging lanterns.

The final tool in the series is the lock band, a silicone tie which can be used to strap objects down and even attach your phone to your bike handlebars.

The brainchild of designer Tom Newth, Tyny Tools was inspired by the difficulties of commuting via bike.

"For the last 5 years, I've commuted by bike from Oakland, California to work in San Francisco," explains Newth.

"During these commutes I'm regularly faced with the challenge of carrying stuff while biking."

The collection has more than doubled its funding target on Kickstarter, with the first products expected to ship in August.
