After months of fierce competition in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Challengers Pacific, ten of the best teams from all over the Asia-Pacific region are ready to battle it out for a shot at being promoted to the international stage at VCT Ascension Pacific.

Taking place in Bangkok, Thailand from 28 June to 9 July, teams from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Oceania, Taiwan & Hong Kong, and South Asia will be looking to prove themselves worthy of playing in VALORANT's top professional league.

Here’s everything you need to know about the competition.

What is VCT Ascension?

VCT Ascension is a tournament designed by Riot Games to give an opportunity to top teams from the regional VALORANT Challengers Leagues (VCL) and tier-1 international leagues (Pacific, EMEA, or Americas) for a spot in the VCT Pacific League.

This is the culminating event for VCT Challengers, where after months of gruelling competition, winning teams of each of the ten regions will come together to compete for the coveted VCT Pacific League spot.

The winner will receive a seat in the VCT Pacific League for the 2024 and 2025 seasons and the lion’s share of the $100,000 prize pool. This will put them in a position to compete in the Masters and Champions tournaments in the coming two years.

Format

The tournament will be played on LAN in front of a live audience in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the Group Stage of the tournament, two groups of five teams each will compete in a best-of-three round-robin. Each group's top three finishers will move on to the Playoffs, while the top two teams from each group will advance directly to the semifinals, and the other four teams will start in the Quarterfinals.

The Playoffs will be a single-elimination bracket. The first few rounds of the playoffs will be best-of-three, and the finals will be best-of-five.

Schedule

From 28 June to 9 July, VCT Ascension Pacific will take place over ten days of intense competition. The tournament is divided into two stages:

Group Stage: 28 June to 4 July

Playoffs: 7 to 9 July

Matches on tournament days will begin at the following times:
