Vanessa Hudgens Just Got the Haircut of the Summer

The new mom got a flippy, flirty new 'do.

Just days after welcoming her very first child, Vanessa Hudgens ushered in a new look to go with her status as a new mom. The actress and ghost hunter shared a video on Instagram that showed her with a fresh trim that included flippy, face-framing layers and a shorter, collarbone-skimming length. Previously, the High School Musical alumna had been rocking long, waist-skimming hair and her new middle-parted, wavy style is a fresh, flirty style that is sure to be the cut of the summer.

In the video, Hudgens offers a few kisses to the camera, flashes a coral manicure, and smiles as Erika Badu's "Hello" plays.

"Fresh trim n blow out got me feelin myself lol," Hudgens captioned the post.

Hudgens shared a message on her Instagram Stories last week after TMZ posted images of her leaving a hospital in Santa Monica, California, on July 3. Though Hudgens never officially announced the arrival of her child, her message let everyone know that she gave birth and everyone involved was "happy and healthy." Hudgens hasn't shared the baby's name or birthdate yet.

"We're disappointed that our family's privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media," she wrote. "Despite all of that, mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy."

July 3 has a special significance for Hudgens. It's her husband Cole Tucker's birthday. This year, as the shortstop rang in his 28th birthday, she posted a sweet message on Instagram wishing him a happy birthday.

"Happy birthday to my slice of heaven @cotuck 🥳," she wrote alongside a carousel of photos. The two married last December after meeting in a Zoom meditation group in 2020.

"It’s the ultimate modern-day love story," she said during an appearance on the Today show. "It’s ridiculous. We met over Zoom on a meditation group. Like who are we, the most new-age couple, ever."
