Vanness Wu to marry Singaporean girlfriend Arissa Cheo
American-born Taiwanese actor-singer Vanness Wu is going to be off the market soon.
On Tuesday, which was also the Chinese Valentine’s Day, the heartthrob made the announcement on Weibo that he would be marrying Arissa Cheo, a Singaporean fashion entrepreneur.
Accompanying the photo below was a message in Chinese, saying “I was impulsive! God bless everyone. Van Ness Wu and Arissa Cheo have submitted the notice of marriage on 9 August according to Singapore law. The two of us hope to share our bliss with all our friends. We also hope that everyone will give us their blessings.”
The 34-year-old inserted many heart and wedding-related emoticons in his message.
The solemnisation will have to take place between 21 days and three months after the notice of marriage is filed, according to the Registry of Marriages (ROM) website.
The F4 member met Cheo, the daughter of a Singaporean business tycoon, when she was featured in the music video of his 2006 song, "My Kingdom".
They have been dating on-and-off for years.
There had been rumours of the two breaking up in the past due to disapproval from Cheo's father and Wu’s religious beliefs that require him to abstain from pre-marital sex.
