The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil

markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures extended losses on Monday, coming off last week's two-week high, as

weakness in overseas soybean oil prices lured buyers away from the tropical oil.

* U.S. soybean futures fell sharply on Monday, extending the steep declines of last week on

pressure from investment fund selling and favorable extended weather outlooks for the developing

crop, traders and analysts said.

* Oil prices fell more than 2 percent on Monday, with U.S. crude hitting a three-month low, on

rising concerns that a global glut of crude and refined products would pressure markets,

delaying a long-anticipated rebalance in the market.

MARKET NEWS

* Caution gripped Asian markets on Tuesday, sending the safe-haven yen higher ahead of central

bank meetings in the United States and Japan, while a fresh skid in oil dampened energy stocks

on Wall Street.
