Vicky Pattison shares health update following hospital stay
Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison has shared a health update with fans following her recent stay in hospital.
The TV star was taken to hospital over the weekend after falling ill on Thursday and initially ignoring the signs, as she'd had a "super long day the day before" and initially presumed she was merely tired.
Vicky informed her Instagram followers in her first post that doctors thought she likely had glandular fever, an infection and an abscess in her throat.
Although she initially thought she might be in hospital "for a while", Vicky took to Instagram again yesterday (July 2) to share the good news that she has now been discharged to continue her recovery at home.

The reality star shared some snaps from her stay in hospital, including a "graphic" photo of her blood-stained sheets.
"Blurry but happy hometime, recovery and some things I'm grateful for... Some of these pics are a tadddd graphic so I apologise in advance.. and if anyone doesn't like blood I just wouldn't bother," she wrote in the caption.
"I'm super happy to be home, back to my boys and my bed... I'm already beginning to feel more like myself. Just a quick thank you to everyone for your kind messages, concern and get well soon and movie tips... it's all greatly appreciated!"

Going on to thank the medical staff who looked after her, Vicky continued: "Also, to the ladies and gentlemen who took care of me in Queens Hospital over the weekend, despite dealing with a junior doctors strike, thank you.
"I can't imagine being in the NHS at the minute, it feels as though they're understaffed, undervalued and underpaid but still did their absolute best to take care of me and everyone else... So shoutout to the gang on Hospital Bay Ocean 2."
It comes shortly after it was announced that Vicky will invite fans to watch her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Ercan Ramadan in a two-part reality series titled Vicky Pattison: Destination Wedding, which is set to air on E4 later this year.
Vicky Pattison: Destination Wedding will air on E4 and be available to stream on Channel 4 online later this year.
