Victoria Monét's daughter, Hazel Monét Gaines, is making waves as she attends her first-ever Grammy Awards.

On Sunday, the singer-songwriter was joined by her 2½-year-old daughter as the duo attended the 2024 Grammys with Hazel's father and Monét's boyfriend, John Gaines. Hazel wore a brown dress and hair bows, matching her mother, Monét, 34, who wore a floor-length, brown bodice gown.

In November, Hazel became the youngest person to be nominated for a Grammy Award after she was nominated alongside her mother for best traditional R&B performance for the track "Hollywood," which also features Earth, Wind & Fire. Speaking to PEOPLE about the accomplishment in December, Monét opened up about how she felt learning her 2½-year-old daughter Hazel became the youngest Grammy nominee.

"It's a really big deal. I think it's another full-circle moment for me because during pregnancy, everything was really scary," Monét told PEOPLE at the time. "People were telling me how bad of a career move it could be, how detrimental to everything it could be."

The "On My Mama" singer added, "Pregnancy, it's going into unknown territory and no one's story is the same. So, to have one of the more fearful moments career-wise turn into one of the best moments ever of my career is really magical. I'm honored to have the accolade for her."

As a collaborator, Monét joked her daughter is "stubborn."

"Right now, her favorite word is 'no,'" she shared. "She stands on what she wants. So, I think she's going to be a great businesswoman. She's going to be a really amazing artist. She's going to have her own vision, definitely very creative, and she's got a voice on her for sure."

In February 2023, Monét told PEOPLE Hazel quickly became interested in music.

I see her learning rhythm, trying to catch different cadences and what she's attracted to in songs. I just really get re-inspired by that innocence and that curiosity about music," she said.

Upon announcing her pregnancy in December 2020, Monét said the experience was "absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me."

This is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can't wait to meet my tiny soul mate earth side!!!" she wrote.
