Jordan Parnham was sentenced to life imprisonment for two counts of rape against separate children at Sheffield Crown Court (SWNS)

A child rapist who filmed himself sexually assaulting a toddler before uploading the video to the Dark Web has been jailed for life.

Jordan Parnham, 23, admitted raping the young girl and sending footage of the disgusting act to’like-minded’ individuals on the internet.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) began tracking the pervert on January 30, after he told online contacts he was going to live stream himself abusing a child.

Police investigators traced his real identity through an alias and raided his home in Barnsley, South Yorkshire on February 22.

Sheffield Crown Court heard how Parnham told arresting officers ‘there's some disgusting stuff on here’, when he handed over his mobile phone during the raid.

Among the files found on the paedophile's phone was a video he had taken of himself raping a female toddler.

During sentencing on Wednesday, Parnham was a handed a life sentence for two counts of rape against separate children.

Parnham sobbed and held his head in his hands as Judge Peter Kelson QC read out his sentence, of which Parnham must serve a minimum of eight years.

Prosecutor Simon Reevell said the Crown had not been able to recover any evidence of Parnham live streaming the attack.

However, he conceded he had shared the video with a group of people he met on the dark web.

He also admitted raping a young boy around 12 months earlier and having child pornography on his phone.

Judge Kelson said: ‘Your offending borders on being unimaginable, it's unthinkable... it's so beyond the pale to have done that... to have filmed that.

‘You uploaded to the internet the recording of this shocking rape, and shared it with like-minded individuals.

‘For my part, I cannot envisage a date when you could be considered anything less than a significant danger to children.’

The judge added he ‘could not conceive of a more serious case’.

Matthew Harding, mitigating, said Parnham accepted the ‘enormity’ of what he had done.

Parnham was placed on the sex offenders' register and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order.
