Vintage farm and military vehicles up for auction
A huge collection of vintage farm machinery including steam engines, tractors and cars, is being auctioned in Lincolnshire.
About 600 people are expected to attend the sale at Manor Park Farms in Rand, near Wragby, on Saturday.
The vehicles have been collected by brothers Peter and David Ingall.
They include a 1904 showman's living wagon, a 1931 Dennis fire engine and a 1918 French-made army truck.
The brothers, who have amassed the collection over 40 years, said they would be very sad to see some of the vehicles being sold.
However, Peter Ingall, 69, told BBC Radio Lincolnshire there was "just too much" to look after.
"We've bought a lot of stuff that needs restoring, and we are getting to the age where we want to be taking a bit easy," he said. "It all takes a lot of looking after, so we've decided to thin the collection out a bit."
Mr Ingall said the army truck, built by Latil - a French manufacturer of commercial and military vehicles - was expected to fetch about £50,000.
"We pulled that out of a derelict farm yard in Henley-on-Thames and rebuilt it from photographs," he said, adding: "It was a very capable truck."
Mr Ingall said he expected the higher-priced items, which had attracted interest from all over the world, to be bought by enthusiasts.
"If it wasn't for collectors a lot of this stuff would have gone to the graveyard," he added.
Cheffins is hosting the sale, with online bidding also taking place.
