Walton Goggins Says ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Scripts ‘Blew His F**King Mind’
Season three of The White Lotus may not be out until next year, but Walton Goggins just hinted at what creator Mike White has lined up.
During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz, the Justified actor opened up about working on the award-winning HBO series and how he was ultimately won over by the scripts for the third installment.

“They blew my f**king mind, man,” Goggins said. “I had expectations as one does if you get the opportunity to read a Mike White script, but I didn’t see where it was going. I didn’t see how all these pieces in this puzzle were going to fit together and when I fully understood the totality of what Mike was trying to say in this third season of this cultural juggernaut, I was overcome with emotion and laughed throughout it and it’s been yet another experience of a lifetime.”
Goggins, who currently stars in Fallout on Prime Video, is set to appear in The White Lotus season three alongside actress Leslie Bibb, who he referred to as his “sister” during the interview. Michelle Monaghan, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, and Patrick Schwarzenegger are also among the previously announced cast.
In addition, Natasha Rothwell will reprise her role as spa manager Belinda Lindsey. Rothwell previously admitted that she “gasped out loud no less than five times” reading the scripts for season three. Carrie Coon has also joined the ensemble and revealed that death will be a central theme. The forthcoming installment is set to take place around Thailand and will play off Eastern religion and spirituality.
“It’s all very meta on every level,” Goggins said, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter last month. “We’re guests checking into a hotel playing guests checking into a hotel. We spend all this time together, whether we like it or not, eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. We work where we stay.”
The White Lotus season three will return to HBO in 2025 and is already being labeled as supersized. White told EW in November: “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier.” And while the showrunner has been tight-lipped about the kind of storylines viewers can expect, fans have been quick to throw out all kinds of ideas about where the anthology series should head next.
