Watch this 2-year-old with limb differences open a one-of-a-kind gift

A 2-year-old boy in Oxford, Michigan, born with limb differences beamed with joy on Christmas Eve as he unwrapped a special gift: a doll that looked just like him.

Luke Simpson was born with a partial right arm and two fingers on his left. When his parents learned of his disability before birth, they turned to a nonprofit called the The Lucky Fin Project. It raises awareness and helps families affected by similar conditions adapt to their children's needs.

Luke's mom, Payton, initially bought Luke a regular doll, but her older child pointed out that it didn't share Luke's unique features. Inspired, Payton reached out to Molly Stapelman, the founder of Lucky Fin, hoping to find a company that could create a custom doll matching Luke's appearance.

Stapelman worked with a dollmaker to bring Payton's vision to life. The resulting doll mirrored Luke's arms, two fingers, and even his eye color.
