Shortly after dropping a short teaser, Warner Bros. officially released the first full trailer for Todd Phillips' Joker: Folie à Deux.

The two-and-a-half-minute visual sees Joaquin Phoenix reprise his role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, who is now in Arkham Asylum following the events of the first film. He meets Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn and the two make a break for it, seemingly eventually finding some type of fame as performers with a group of supporters calling for their release. The pair fall in love in the midst of the madness, as Fleck tells his doctor that he's "not alone anymore."

The upcoming sequel is billed as a “jukebox musical” with at least 15 covers of “very well-known” songs, one of which is “That’s Entertainment” from the 1953 musical The Band Wagon; its first trailer features Jackie DeShannon's "What the World Needs Now Is Love."

Watch the full trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux, and catch the film in cinemas on October 4.
