Matthew McConaughey might be Snoop Dogg’s luckiest friend right now.

The Oscar-winning actor, 54, received a fancy new gift from the hip-hop icon, 52, in the form of a flashy Death Row chain, which the former proudly showed off in an Instagram video on Friday.

“Snooped,” McConaughey captioned the clip — soundtrack by Snoop’s classic song “Who Am I (What’s My Name?)” — that shows him flexing his new piece of jewelry to his older son, Levi. The amazed 15-year-old’s jaw drops as he admires his father’s new bling, saying, “Oh my God.”

“Snoop Dogg gave it to me,” McConaughey informs with a wide grin while high-fiving his son.

The video footage, also shared on Snoop’s page, then cuts to a close-up of the Dallas Buyers Club star’s gold Death Row pendant as he stands in front of the West Coast legend’s Doggystyle album plaque. He says, “Snoop, I mean are you reading my mail, or am I reading yours?”

Snoop signed to Death Row Records in the ‘90s — when it also housed legendary rap acts like Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Nate Dogg — before the hip-hop mogul took over ownership in 2022. He acquired the iconic label from the MNRK Music Group after co-founder Suge Knight lost the imprint in 2006 following bankruptcy, NPR reported.

Snoop and McConaughey have been good friends for years now. The two showed off their bond in 2019 while promoting their stoner comedy, The Beach Bum, on shows like Carpool Karaoke and Jimmy Kimmel Live! During an appearance on the latter, the former co-stars admitted they couldn’t remember when exactly they met, but Snoop said their friendship and working relationship were like “magic.”

“I think certain people in life are meant for each other,” the "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang" rapper said, “and I think me and Matthew were meant for each other. It’s just supposed to be.”

McConaughey went on to tell host Kimmel a funny on-set story of how the rapper switched out his “prop joint” with “Snoop weed” during a scene from their movie. “Whew, I said, OK man… Buckle up because here we go,” the actor joked.

“I didn’t say another word of English, really,” he added, looking at Snoop. “You said I rapped a lot—”

“For 13 hours straight,” the Doggfather artist laughed.

On May 31, Snoop released a joint album with Tha Dogg Pound (comprised of West Coast rappers Kurupt and Daz) titled W.A.W.G. (We All We Got), which marked the latter’s ninth studio album. The new project arrives as the rap star is currently developing a life-spanning biopic about his life with Universal Pictures.

Earlier this year, Variety reported that McConaughey is set to star alongside America Ferrera in an upcoming Blumhouse drama film called The Lost Bus. Jamie Lee Curtis’ Comet Pictures is producing the film, which Oscar nominee Paul Greengrass is directing.
