Fans of the BBC show will remember that Kai and Preston kissed at a house party at the end of series eleven after Preston's girlfriend Samia dumped him. In tonight's episode (May 16), Kai struggled with his feelings for Preston, telling Preston's ex Samia that he had ghosted a mystery man over the school holiday.

"He tried to call a couple of times and I ignored him, anyways I saw him today and I was like 'oh my god,' he's so much hotter than I remembered," Kai told Samia.
